EFACO has the latest equipment and devices used in the processing and analysis of samples from major international companies as shown
in the below photos:
X-ray analysis lab
The laboratory has 2 X-ray analysis equipment:
- (X-Ray spectrometer VXQ-150A), Japanese-made equipment.
- ARL Advant’X, Swiss-made equipment.
The equipment is calibrated with standard samples regularly under a calibration plan. The accuracy of the equipment results is ensured with reference samples.
Carbon lab
The Carbon Lab works on estimating the carbon element in different types of samples, including ferrosilicon alloys, ferrochrome, ferrosilicon slag, silica fume, steel, and sulfur in the coal.
- The equipment is calibrated daily with standard samples and then tested for work.
- The laboratory has equipment for estimating carbon and sulfur (German-made): Eltra CS2000
2. Smelting equipment for fume samples and coal ash. A Canadian-made, this device works on processing fume samples and coal ash for analysis on the X-ray device. The model is Claisse, Le Neo Fluxer.
3. Spectrometers for silica fume. It is a Japanese-made. The model is Konica Minolta, CR-410.
