What is ferrosilicon
Ferrosilicon is a ferroalloy composed of iron and silicon. The color is gray.

In the steelmaking industry, about 3-5 kg of 75% ferrosilicon is consumed for every 1 t of steel produced. - Ferro Silicon has two types of sizes: blocks and grains/powder forms.
Common sizes of blocks are 10-50 mm, 10-60 mm, 10-80 mm and 25-80 mm, 10-100mm, etc. - Common fine sizes are 2—12 mm, 1—5mm, 0—3mm, 0—3 mm (Cyclonate) etc.

Ferrosilicon manufacturing process
Ferrosilicon is an iron-silicon alloy made by smelting coke, steel shavings, and quartz (or silica) in an electric furnace.
Since silicon and oxygen are easily combined into silicon dioxide, ferrosilicon is often used as a deoxidizer in steelmaking. At the same time, because SiO2 generates a lot of heat, it is also beneficial to increase the temperature of molten steel during deoxidation.
